Deadline for US Citizens Living Abroad to File Their Taxes

Americans living abroad have until June 15, 2005, to file their taxes or request an extension. One expat emailed me an exhaustive report of his experience with several of my tax software top picks. Bottom line, he felt the downloadable version of TurboTax Premier was the best buy for expatriates. Here's a heads up. I have yet to see an expat return accepted by the IRS e-file system. That means I have to print out these tax returns and mail them to the IRS. All tax returns with a foreign address, Form 2555, or any foreign-source income get mailed to the IRS center in Philadelphia. Here's the mailing address:
