Minnesota Tax Shelter Program

Tuesday August 23, 2005
The Minnesota Department of Revenue is offering a limited-time tax relief program for people and businesses who participated in tax shelters. This applies to anyone who participated in a registered tax shelter or listed transaction, but failed to disclose their participation on their Minnesota state tax returns. Taxpayers may submit amended tax returns to disclose their participation in a tax shelter in exchange for relief from penalties. The Minnesota Tax Shelter Voluntary Compliance Program ends on January 31, 2006.
