Mid-Size Businesses Benefitting from Quickbooks 2006

Thursday December 1, 2005
Small and mid-size businesses are finding a wealth of useful features in the newly redesigned Quickbooks 2006 accounting software. In the month or so that I've been using Quickbooks 2006, I have found the program to be easier and less frustrating than the previous 2005 version. However, I still need to use Quicken Premier to keep track of investments for my small business clients. The decision between Quicken and Quickbooks for a small business is largely based on whether the company makes a lot of investments and which software is easier to use on a daily basis. However, the editors at Accounting Web have evaluated Quickbooks with a view to medium-sized businesses with more accounting and reporting needs. According to their report,
Even with these updates, some successful businesses will have out grown QuickBooks: Simple Start (entry level solution) and QuickBooks: Pro and QuickBooks: Premier (including industry-specific editions), which is why Intuit also offers a solution for mid-market companies called QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions. A new release of this powerful business management tool, QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions 6.0, arrived in stores on November 7. QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions 6.0 offers users faster performance, a 50 percent increase in scalability and robust new inventory features thus eliminating many of the barriers that have made deploying mid-market solutions so dissatisfying for many firms in the past.
Accounting Web discovered that Quickbooks Enterprise Solution is more user-friendly, and more cost effective than other accounting platforms.
