Wednesday March 22, 2006
When choosing the right tax software, focus on the features your need. For 2005, there are three solid recommendations for best tax software:
  • TaxACT - a reliable and accurate program. The Standard edition is free, and the ad-free Deluxe version has many premium-level tax planning features.
  • TaxCut - redesigned software, better tax calculations, and audit defense at no charge makes TaxCut the most-improved software for 2006.
  • TurboTax - features a well-written tax interview, easier-to-use navigation, and the ever-useful 401k Maximizer calculator.
