A special welcome to About's new Credit and Debt Management Guide Nance Kelly. Ms. Kelly has kicked off her blog with lots of news about various legal cases over consumer credit. This particular news item caught my attention, since many of my clients are considering bankruptcy as a possible solution to tax debt problems. Ms. Kelly highlights a study that shows most people are not abusing the new bankruptcy laws, but that the new credit counseling requirement (a prerequisite for filing for bankruptcy) is having little impact on filings.
