Free Small Business Tax Workshop from the IRS

The Internal Revenue Service provides free tax information for small businesses and self-employed people through two new products. The IRS' Virtual Small Business Tax Workshop (Publication 1066C) is a video presentation covering all the basics of business taxes in ten easy lessons. Topics including using tax deductions for home offices, setting up retirement plans, and handling payroll taxes. You can view the video online, read the lesson transcripts, or order a free DVD from the IRS web site. Another new product: the 2006 Small Business Resource Guide, available as a free CD-ROM or through the MissouriBusiness.net Web site. The Resource Guide provides tips on recordkeeping, starting or closing a business, and a new section for young entrepreneurs called Real Planet.
