Finding 2006 Tax Information

You can find tax information for the year 2006, based on what we know so far about this year's taxes.

Quick Tax Facts for 2006 provides information on the standard deductions, personal exemptions, phaseout ranges for exemptions and itemized deductions, and contribution limits to retirement plans.

Tax Rate Schedules for 2006 provides the marginal tax rates for all filing statuses for the 2006 tax year, along with an example of how to use the schedules.

Standard Mileage Rate is where you will find the standard mileage rates for 2006 for business, medical, and charity-related driving.

2006 Tax Calendar lists all the important tax deadlines for 2006, for paying estimated taxes or filing by the extension deadline.

Hello. in 2006 my husband filed our taxes on line and he did not print the information. Anyhow I now need my 2006 Schedule c and was wondering how i would get that information? Thank you for your time. Kelly

Kelly, the best thing to do is ask the IRS to mail you a transcript of your tax return. To do this, simply mail in Form 4506-T (pdf, 2 pages). Transcripts are a computer-generated printout of your return showing all line items on the return as it was submitted. There will be a section showing the Schedule C data. There’s no charge for requesting this report from the IRS.

There’s different type of transcripts that can be ordered. What you want is the return transcript (this is indicated by checking line 6a of the form).
