Reviewing Your 2005 Tax Return

Every so often people overlook a deduction or two. Recently I had a client who didn't realize her student loan interest was tax-deductible. We amended her earlier tax returns to get an extra refund. Just be aware that you have three years to claim your tax refund money from the government. That means 2005 amendments (or an original return if you didn't file) must be filed by April 15th, 2009.
