Adoption Expenses

Definition: You may take a tax credit for expenses you paid to adopt a child. "Qualified adoption expenses" are expenses directly related to the adoption of a child and which were not reimbursed by government programs or your employer. The Adoption Credit is calculated on Form 8839.
